How it works with no key at all
I work from your VIN to identify the correct key type, then cut and program a fresh one at your vehicle. Because the key is made from the VIN, you do not need an original key. I will ask for your registration and ID before I cut or program anything.
What to have ready
Your VIN, which is on your registration and usually visible at the base of the windshield, your registration, and your ID. With those I can confirm the correct key and give you an accurate quote.
Cut a spare while you are at it
Even a working key can fail without warning. If you have one key and it is acting up, treat it as urgent, because losing it turns a simple job into an all-keys-lost situation. A spare is the cheapest insurance against that.
